13 out of 38 Kayayee who entered NR through Oti Region test positive for COVID-19

The 13 Kayayee were part of the 38 Kayayee who entered the Northern Region through the Oti Region during the partial lockdown of Accra.

The 38 kayeyee who escaped Accra through the Oti Region were stopped by the Police when entering the Northern Region. These Kayayee are different from those impounded at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

According to the Ghana News Agency, after going through the coronavirus tests, 13 of the 38 tested positive
