1993 old students donates 80 bags to Supper TESS

The 1993 batch of Techiman Senior High Cchool (Supper TESS), has donated 80 bags of cement to support the school in building an ICT lab to support teaching and learning of digitalization in the school.

The construction of the ICT laboratory, started in the year 2013 but due to financial constraints, the project is yet to be completed to serve its intended purpose. Authorities of the school have since appealed to its alumni and the general public at large to come to their aid as the school intends to integrate ICT in their teaching and learning process.

The 1993 year group on last Monday 9, 2023, responded to the call by donating 80 bags of cement to support the project.

Speaking on behalf of the year group, Mr. Kojo Addo, popularly known as Wofa Addo, said “the school has impacted knowledge into our lives and we see it very necessary to give back to the school by supporting the authorities to upgrade the standard of the school”

He admitted that it is very urgent for them to support in the building of the lab because now ICT is what is ruling the world and TESS should not be left out.

He added that this will not be the last donation that they will make and he use the opportunity to called on other year groups to come and support the building.

We are the first batch of Techiman Senior High School, we started laying the foundation of the ICT laboratory in the year 2013 and we are committed in ensuring the completion of the project hence our donation today”. He said.

He continued, “We are still trying to contact the rest of the 1993 year group, as we can see, only seven of us are here but we believe if we are able to contact the rest of the group, we can donate to the school in large quantities and that will help in developing the school rapidly”

Mr. Amanor Kyeremeh board chairman of TESS has lauded the move by the 1993 year group and he use the opportunity to urge other year groups to emulate same and support the school.

The ICT project is part of the numerous projects the school is doing to commence our 60th anniversary, most of our alumni has come to our aid and we are very pleased with their kind gesture”

“1991, 1984 and 1981 year groups have all contributed massively to the development of the school and we hope to complete the project before the grand durbar of our diamond jubilee but if we are unable to achieve that target, then there will fundraising during the durbar to help raise funds to complete the project”. He said.

The Chief Executive Officer of New Leaf Hospital and an alumni of Super TESS, Mr. Gific Frempa said the move by his year group was very necessary because they want to support the students to learn more in terms of ICT since we are now living in a digital world.
