2019 Premier League starts this weekend, Hearts host Chelsea

Finally, the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League begins on Sunday, 29 December 2019, simultaneously at all the approved league centres.

The matches will start at 3 p.m., with the match between Hearts of Oak and Chelsea appearing to be the top of the liner.

The Phobians will be hoping to win their first league title in a decade but will find Chelsea a hard nut to crack.

The Berekum lads have become a bogey side to Hearts in Accra but the Phobians will be relying on their recent home form to secure the three maximum points.

Asante Kotoko are expected to have an easy ride over Techiman Eleven Wonders when the two sides square it off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Fresh from their President Cup triumph over Hearts, Kotoko will be hoping to easily ride over their counterparts.

In Obuasi, wonder club Great Olympics, who benefited from the 18-club league, will play as guests to Ashanti Gold.

At the Dawu Park, Dreams FC, owned by GFA President Kurt Okraku, will welcome Alhaji Grunzah’s King Faisal, who also benefited from the extension of the league to 18 clubs.

Liberty Professionals will host All Stars at the Dansoman Car Reindorf Park, while Karela welcome WAFA to the Tarkwa T&A park.

Aduana Stars also welcome Inter Allies to the Dormaa Ahenkro Park, whereas Medeama travels to Cape Coast to play Dwarfs.

This year’s Premiership is expected to be full of fireworks as the first six placed teams are expected to receive various prize award.
