The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that it has released the provisional results of students who sat for the 2020 Basic Certificate Examination (BECE).
The Council indicated that the entire results of 44 candidates have been cancelled for bringing mobile phones into the examination hall.
It added that subject results of 977 candidates are being withheld pending conclusion of investigation into various cases of alleged exam malpractices.
“The West Africa Examination Council wishes to inform its publics that it has released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the Basic Certificate Examination (BECE),” part of a press release from the education body has said.
WAEC adds, “The council has hosted the results online and candidates who desire may access their results at the council’s website www.waecgh.com.”
The council is now set to dispatch the results to the schools through the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education.
Meanwhile, WAEC has announced that it has cancelled and withheld some of the results of pupils who engaged in exam malpractices.
