9-year-old boy hangs himself because his mother refused to give him food

Information reaching the desk of My News Ghana confirms that a 9-year-old boy in Koforidua-Asokore in the New Juabeng North Assembly has committed suicide because his mother refused to give him food to eat.

According to reports from Koforidua, the boy, Frimpong Agyei refused to run an errand for his mother and was consequently punished by his mother by refusing to give him food.

The agitated boy who couldn’t reconcile with his mother’s decision not to give him food went into his room and hanged himself to death.

The body has since been deposited at the morgue of St. James Hospital in Koforidua.
