Cry your own cry, don’t draw govt into your woes – Hadzide tells Agordzo

A Deputy Minister of Information, Hon. Pious Enam Hadzide has admonished lawyer for embattled Director of Transformation of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Dr. Benjamin Agordzo accused of treason and standing trial not to draw government into his woes but rather channel his energy and resources to court and rule out any government interference in the matter.

“Our advice to the Counsel would be to refrain from attempting to draw government into the operations of the security agencies and to focus on the defence of his client and to produce evidence, if there is any, of what he claims is government’s attempt to witch-hunt,” he advised

According to the Deputy Minister of Information, politicizing the issue of coup will not serve anybody’s interest but will only make culprits escape the law

Speaking in an interview MyNewsGh.com monitored, he stated emphatically that the government has no interest in witch-hunting anybody for any reason since it will not serve anybody’s interest but will only make culprits escape the law

ACP Dr Benjamin Agordzo is in police custody for his alleged involvement in a coup plot. He was arraigned before the Kaneshie Magistrate Court in Accra.

Shortly after his appearance at a Kaneshie Magistrate Court ACP Agordzo told the media that they cannot break him down, “I am as strong as anything.”
