24-year-old final year student gives birth to quintuplets

Oluomachi Nwoye, a 24-year-old student in her final year at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU) in Abia state, has delivered quintuplets at the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia.

On Monday at 9:15 p.m., a set of quintuplets consisting of two boys and three girls reportedly became the first quintuplets to be born at the hospital.
According to Vanguard, the “in-born unit” of the hospital is providing special care to the two infant boys.

Mrs. Priscilla Nwojo, the mother of Oluomachi, remarked that she is overjoyed by the gift of quintuplets to her daughter, but acknowledged that such unusual blessings frequently come with their own set of difficulties. She pleaded with the government and well-intentioned Nigerians to assist the family.

According to her, caring for one infant, let alone five, is difficult.

“I am grateful to God for this unique gift. I’m a speculator. My spouse is a tailor while I am a paper merchant. It is difficult to take care of one (infant), let alone five, so we will be grateful if the government can assist us. However, we give God thanks in all circumstances.” She stated.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the father of the quintuplets had not yet arrived at the hospital, according to reports.
