Following the viral video of singer, Seun Kuti assaulting a policeman on the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos, Nigerians have taken to social media to share their view.
In the video making rounds, Seun Kuti was seen shouting and slapping a police officer who stood calm and looked on.
As the video circulated on the internet, Seun took to his Instagram story to share his side.
According to him, the police officer tried to kill him and his family adding that he has proof and that the policeman had apologised.
Many condemned him for his actions as they wondered what may have provoked him to the extent of hitting and pushing a police officer.

Below are some comments from social media users:
Justadetoun: E don finally happen o ti sele, make Una update me for ilisan. nigerian police versus the anikulapo’s real national anthem
Ugezujugezu: Saddening! All shades of wrong. I salute the maturity of this officer. This is the police we want in the new Nigeria.
Kelvin_umeh: Regardless you don’t do such to a police officer. This won’t end well.
Mdrough: Nah, he crossed the line. Even if we are against the Nigerian police force, it shouldn’t be done this way. Assaulting an officer of the law, who is not physically assaulting you, is totally wrong and unacceptable. As a fan of the Kuti family, I hope he get arrested and serve the punishment accordingly. No one is above the law. What then is he preaching on his live videos?
Thefoodnetworknig2: Nah! This is totally wrong! NPF won’t take this likely.
Carcontinent: He must go in for it, you can’t slap a grown up man Like that, it is wrong and unfair.
