NPP DON’T NEED AN AUTOCRATIC LEADER LIKE KENNEDY AGYAPONG–   REVEREND DANIEL APPIAH

Reverend Daniel Odei Appiah, head pastor of the Living Faith Church who doubles as NADMO director for Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly has advised delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming party primaries.

According to him, Bawumia was the surest person who could deliver the presidential mandate while beating John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party.

In an exclusive interview with the media yesterday
Rev. Appiah charged them to expel claims made by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who was also part of the flagbearership race that Dr. Bawumia offered him US$800 million to step down from the party’s presidential primaries.

He said it was untrue that Dr. Bawumia has offered Mr Agyapong the said amount to step down from the race.

“He even asserted that Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia is using $500 million to fuel his campaign. $500million in this current economic situation? How can someone raise $500 million to do such a campaign. It is never true,” Rev. Appiah stressed.

He further stated that Mr. Agyapong could never be a good leader and termed him as autocratic person, adding that he “respects no one and has insulted all prominent figures and almost everyone in the country.”

Thus, he believed Mr Agyapong would not serve the nation and his leadership would rather breed chaos and an endless omen.

Rev. Appiah, however, said the Vice President is a man noted for his modesty, and he remains committed to his life-long values of serving people with his intellect, integrity and self discipline

“He is the person we should vote for because he will serve everyone with respect and integrity,” he added.
