Dr Bawumia doesn’t have the credibility to discredit Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy- Bright Botchway

The National Deputy Coordinator for Trade and Artisans Network (TAN-NDC),Mr Bright Botchway has taken a swipe at Dr Bawumia for his incessant attacks on the 24-hour economy proposal made by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)HE.John Dramani Mahama .

According to him, Dr Bawumia doesn’t have the credibility to discredit John Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy policy because as vice president and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)he has woefully failed Ghanaians in managing the affairs of the country.

Mr Botchway urged the NPP and Dr Bawumia to channel their energies and resources on propagating their own policies they have designed for Ghanaians and not shade Mahama’s 24-hour economy idea.

The former Central Regional deputy Youth Organizer made this comments when responding to Dr. Bawumia’s recent remarks in his interview cited by this portal.

Mr Botchway dispelled Dr. Bawumia’s persistent attempts to undermine the NDC’s initiatives, particularly the 24-hour economy proposal, labeling them as a desperate bid for relevance.

In a scathing critique, Botchway suggested that Dr. Bawumia’s fixation on discrediting the NDC’s vision demands urgent attention, hinting at a need for specialized focus. He emphasized that, amidst the ongoing exchanges, nobody should take Dr. Bawumia’s assertions seriously.

“This dismissive stance underlined the NDC’s unwavering commitment to their proposed policies, refusing to be swayed by what they consider mere diversionary tactics” he said

Mr Botchway’s response not only showcased the intensity of the political discourse but also hinted at underlying tensions between opposing parties vying for dominance in shaping Ghana’s economic landscape.

“It remains to be seen how these verbal sparrings will influence the broader political narrative as the parties continue to assert their positions” he stressed
