NDC, Suame Constituency builds capacity of youth on 24-hour economy policy

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suame Constituency of Ashanti Region has held a training and sensitization workshop for the young people of the party and non-party members at Kronom in the Suame Municipality, to equip them with a comprehensive understanding of the party’s key policy initiatives.

It was aimed at equipping the youth with entrepreneurship training and in-depth knowledge and insights into its major policy proposals, especially the 24-hour economy policy espoused by former President and flag bearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama.

The workshop was organized by the NDC Suame Constituency parliamentary candidate and the party executives where the participants were taken through the 24-hour economy and entrepreneurship training in various forms.

The training programs include; Snails and Mushroom Farming,
Liquid Soap / Shower Gel, Ointment, Detergent, Hair Food, Beads Making, Plantain Chips, Pastries, and the like.

Speaking at the training program, the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the Suame Constituency Frank Owusu Ansah, explained that because the 24-hour economy policy would be central to the NDC’s campaign in the upcoming general election, the party must put practical measures in place to equip and explain it to the electorate.

“The policy will undoubtedly create jobs for the teeming youth, strengthen our domestic currency, reduce inflation and interest rates as well as provide tax reliefs and other appealing incentives to businesses and companies that will subscribe to the transformative policy,” Mr Ansah said.
