Brakwa Breman Rural Bank to pursue digital innovation

The Brakwa-Breman Rural Bank PLC, located in Brakwa in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region, has indicated its readiness to intensify adoption and integration of modern technologies, in a bid to deliver innovative financial services to customers.

According to the Board Chairman of the bank, Alexander Koomson, Brakwa-Breman Rural Bank has initiated steps to increase technology in operations and to be able to seize new opportunities and navigate challenges.

He said: “Our strategic plans include further integration of technology to enhance banking experience, especially at the very dawn of agency banking. We are committed to working with our stakeholders to introduce innovative financial solutions”.

The bank in recent years, has embraced digital innovations, enhancing accessibility and efficiency, he said. It is to this end that the Board Chairman stated that” “We are poised to make headway in our efforts to digitise with the assistance of the ARB Apex Bank.

“Our commitment to financial literacy and inclusive banking has empowered even the remotest corners of our community. The partnerships forged with local businesses have stimulated economic growth, creating a ripple effect that benefits us all.”

These developments come as digitization continues to play a major role in various business sectors, including banking and commerce.

Giving an outlook at a durbar to mark the 40th anniversary at Brakwa, Mr. Koomson said the bank’s vision is to play a pivotal role in sustainable development, fostering entrepreneurship and contributing to the overall well-being of all its stakeholders.

“As we embark on the next chapter, we remain committed to the principles that have guided us this far; integrity, transparency, and a genuine concern for the welfare of our customers,” he stated.

Brakwa-Breman Rural Bank started its operations in 1983.

“As we stand on the precipice of the 40th year, let us reflect on the accomplishments that define our bank today. Our prudent financial management, unwavering commitment to customer service, and community-centric approach have set us apart,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank, Felix Dompreh, said over the past four decades, the bank has been an integral part of host communities, serving as a beacon of financial empowerment and fostering economic growth in rural areas.

“As we gather in this durbar to commemorate our 40th anniversary, it is not merely a celebration of time passed, but a reflection on the impact we have made and the lives we have touched. Our journey has been one of resilience, determination, and a shared commitment to the prosperity of our community.

“As we look to the future, we envision even greater strides, innovations and collaborations that will contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of the communities we serve,” he said.

He also recognized the work and dedication of the management and staff of the bank, adding that the success of Brakwa-Breman Rural Bank PLC is a testament to the collective efforts of each employee, past and present, customers and all shareholders.

Furthermore, Mr. Dompreh entreated all stakeholders to look ahead with optimism and determination and collectively continue to build on the legacy that has defined the bank.
