Woman, 58, murdered by unknown assailants at Awutu Ahentia

A 58-year-old woman, identified as Lydia Andoh, has been murdered by unknown assailants at Awutu Ahentia in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

According to the police, the deceased was found dead in a pool of blood with several injuries on her face.

In an interview with Adom News, the Awutu Bereku Station Officer, Police Chief Inspector, Stephen Tamakloe, said they proceeded to the crime scene after the husband of the deceased, Edward Sintim, came to lodge a complaint.

“The husband told us he discovered his wife’s body on his way home. She was bleeding from the nose with injuries all over her body,” he said.

According to him, her assailants did not take any material thing from her.

The Chief Inspector said preliminary checks revealed that the deceased was hit with something before she fell and died.

Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist hospital for autopsy.
