The Ghanaian music duo agrees that those artists create a false sense of success or talent through superficial means. They emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself and focusing on genuine artistry rather than seeking validation through these award schemes.

R2Bees made it known that they don’t value awards like other artists do. Omar Sterling said anything that magnifies your ego is not worth it and may k!ll you eventually. An award makes you proud, and it’s not like we don’t have awards; we have won a lot of feasible, big awards, but that is not us. Many of our awards are with friends; we don’t even know where they are, Omar added.
Omar Sterling who did all the talking, advises that his colleagues shouldn’t be more concerned about awards but should be content with the streams, endorsements, and gigs. Those three things matter the most in every musician’s life because that makes you a true star.
