Performing alongside collaborators Friday and the Sunday Service Choir, Smith presented his single “You Can Make It,” released just days earlier.

Encircled by flames, Smith shared a message of resilience before performing: “I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but whatever’s going on in your life, I’m here to tell you you can make it.” Gospel artist Kirk Franklin joined him, reinforcing the song’s themes of overcoming adversity.

Smith previewed the song on social media, expressing his excitement for its debut at the BET Awards.
