Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah Urges Ghanaians to Support Mahama’s Vision To Reset Ghana

In a momentous occasion, Hon. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, representing former President John Dramani Mahama, delivered a powerful speech at the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church’s Annual Camp Meeting, themed “I Will Go: Chosen for Mission.” The event was marked by a significant Guard of Honour and a deeply spiritual atmosphere, reflecting the church’s commitment to its sacred mission.

Hon. Elvis began by acknowledging the rich history of the SDA Church in Ghana, highlighting its profound impact on the nation’s moral, educational, and social fabric. He emphasized that the church’s mission to win and disciple souls is a sacred duty, vital to the spiritual health of the nation.

Drawing a compelling parallel between the church’s divine mission and President Mahama’s own mission to rescue and reset Ghana, Hon. Elvis painted a vivid picture of the current state of the nation. He cited stark economic indices such as the Exchange Rate, Debt-to-GDP ratio, low International Ratings, and the overall debt stock.

In contrast, Hon. Elvis highlighted President Mahama’s achievements during his four-year tenure, which were accomplished with only GHS54 Billion. He shared the NDC’s 2024 Manifesto, outlining the party’s vision for transforming Ghana into an import substitution and export-led economy.

The audience was visibly moved by the vision for a better Ghana, and the speech was met with enthusiasm and hope. Hon. Elvis concluded by making a cash donation on behalf of the former President, a gesture of goodwill and support for the church’s ongoing mission.

In recognition of his contributions and support, the church presented a citation to President Mahama, which Hon. Elvis gratefully accepted on his behalf. The event was a powerful reminder of the shared mission between the SDA Church and the NDC in striving for a better future for all Ghanaians.
