On a Sardonic day, the Seven campaign car donated by Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle. The accident occurred while Mr. Alex Ebo Koomsom, a regional elections directorate member, was driving from Accra to Assin Fosu for a party program in Twifo-Praso.
Mr. Koomsom and other passengers are receiving treatment at Mankessim Roman Hospital, with Mr. Koomsom’s condition reported as serious.
Prof. Asiedu expressed deep concern and promised to replace the damaged car within weeks, acknowledging the directorate’s extensive workload. He wished Mr. Koomsom a speedy recovery and called on party members to pray for his healing and that of the other injured passengers.
“We are saddened by this unfortunate incident and pray for the swift recovery of Alex and the other affected members,” Prof. Asiedu said.
The NDC regional chairman’s prompt response demonstrates his commitment to supporting party members and ensuring the continuation of campaign efforts.
