NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West, Mrs. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, Inspires Graduating Apprentices at Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association Ceremony
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Mrs. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West, graced the graduation ceremony of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association in Agona Swedru as a special guest. Her presence underscored her dedication to empowering youth and promoting skills development in the community.
Mrs. Ofori Dangbey donated 42 sewing machines to the graduating apprentices as start-up kits on behalf of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and herself. This thoughtful gesture aimed to equip young entrepreneurs with essential tools, fostering their growth and success in the fashion industry.
In her address, Mrs. Ofori Dangbey encouraged the graduates to uphold truthfulness and discipline in their craft. She stressed the importance of prioritizing customer satisfaction to build lasting businesses, emphasizing that quality service and attention to detail are vital components of a successful entrepreneurial journey.
Mrs. Ofori Dangbey seized the opportunity to outline key initiatives from the NDC’s Resetting Ghana Manifesto: Agenda for Jobs, Accountability, and Prosperity for All.
She discussed transformational programs designed to create opportunities for all Ghanaians, including:
“The Free National Apprenticeship Program, aimed at providing skills training for youth”
The removal of fees for Level 100 tertiary education, promoting affordable quality education.
Emphasizing the NDC’s vision for sustainable development, Mrs. Ofori Dangbey urged the audience to support the party’s efforts to reset Ghana. She encouraged the graduates to become active participants in shaping the country’s future, leveraging their skills to contribute to national growth.
