The Central Region’s National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed its deepest gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Mr. Anthony Kwasi Sarpong as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
This appointment is a prove to President Mahama’s commitment to recognizing dedicated party members who have contributed significantly to the Ghana’s development.
The announcement, made by Article 195(1) of the Constitution and section 13(1) of the Ghana Revenue Act,2009(Act791), reflects the President’s commitment to maintaining robust leadership within the nation’s revenue mobilization body.
In a Statement signed by Noble Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, the Central regional chairman of the NDC, Mr. Sarpong has been an exemplary member of the party since 2012, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the party’s growth and development.Mr. Sarpong’s financial support and grassroots mobilization efforts have been instrumental in the party’s success in the region, particularly in Upper Denkyira East and West.
The Central Region wholeheartedly supports Mr. Sarpong’s appointment, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to the party’s operations.
“We, therefore, extend our gratitude to President Mahama for this thoughtful and strategic appointment, and we pledge our continued support to Mr. Sarpong as he assumes this significant role.” Prof.Asiedu stated
Notably, Mr. Sarpong’s appointment as the Acting Commissioner-General of the GRA took effect on January 21, 2025, as announced by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
