The Akona Royal Family of Moree in Abura Asiebu Kwamankese district of the central is seeking urgent intervention to resolve the long-standing chieftaincy dispute in the area. Abusuapainyin Nana Kofi Adanse (VIII) has made a passionate appeal to the Central Regional House of Chiefs, the Chieftaincy Minister, National House of Chiefs, and National Peace Council to help bring an end to the dispute.
According to Nana Kofi Adanse (VIII), the chieftaincy dispute has led to a significant decline in development in Moree, and it is essential that the issue is resolved before the upcoming “holigalism” race in the area. He is also seeking the support of Omanhenen of the Asiebu Traditional Council, Oketekyiri Amenfi VII, and Central Region Council of State member Hakim Addei.
The Akona Royal Family is hopeful that with the intervention of the relevant authorities, the dispute can be resolved, and Moree can begin to flourish once They believe that a resolution to the dispute will not only bring peace and stability to the community but also attract investment and development to area.
