The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ramseyer Congregation at Mesidan in the Techiman North Municipality of the Bono East region, has climaxed its 70th anniversary celebrations with a series of impactful activities ending on Easter Sunday.

The anniversary festivities brought together prominent dignitaries including the Buoyemhene, Daasebre Ameyaw Kwarteng Amaniampong II; the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Techiman North, Hon. Johnson Adom; Prof. Asabre Ameyaw, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW); Mesidanhemaa Nana Faah Adomako; Wenchi Twafohene Nana Akoratua Adutwum IV; representatives of Techiman Krobohene, Osabarima Asa Akompanin; Mesidanhene Nana Kwasi Twi Brempong II; and the representative of the Member of Parliament for Techiman North and Minister of Trade, Industry, and Agribusiness, Hon. Addressing the media, the Presbytery Chairperson of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery Rev. Benjamin Appiah, expressed deep admiration for the congregation’s achievements. He disclosed that the church has done well in terms of development and growth in its membership over the past four years.

“The Ramseyer Congregation in Mesidan is celebrating its 70th Anniversary. As part of the celebration, the church undertook many activities, and the climax of the celebration has coincided with the Easter Sunday.

The church has done really well in terms of development and growth in its membership. I first visited almost four years ago, and at that time, their building wasn’t as big as it is today, they have built this huge auditorium in just four years as a place of worship. I’m very impressed; it shows that God has been good to the church, and for that, we praise His holy name.” He said

The Head Pastor of Ramseyer Congregation, Rev. Ernest Attah Yeboah, while addressing the media, gave an overview of the anniversary journey and the activities that have taken place since the launch.

“We launched our 70th anniversary on October 27th, 2024, and have undertaken many activities as part of the celebrations. We had a worship to remember our past members who through them the church was established, we also had a special worship with our traditional leaders which was termed as royal service. We dedicated the month of January 2025 for evangelism and through that, we have been able to win a lot of souls for the kingdom of God.

We embarked on an excursion in the month of February, in the month of March, we did a traditional service, and organized a praise and adoration night. On 19th April, we organized an eating competition and today we are bringing the 70th anniversary to a climax. God has been good to us as a church, we can only praise and thank Him for how far He has brought our church. The theme for our celebration is Celebrating our Heritage, Persisting in Mission, Glorifying God for His Faithfulness.” He disclosed

Rev. Ernest Attah Yeboah urged members of the Ramseyer Congregation and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at large to stand firm in their faith and not waver in their quest to spread the word of God to all nations. He encouraged members to draw inspiration from the perseverance of the church’s founding members, who overcame many tribulations in establishing the church.

“The church has gone through many challenges, some of the members that started the church were even prosecuted but they were determined to spread the word of God and that is something that we should hold in high esteem and remember. We should also be willing to do God’s work, no matter the situation we find ourselves in, to spread His word to all nations.” He stated

The 70th anniversary celebrations of the Ramseyer Congregation at Mesidan stand as a testament to the church’s unwavering commitment to faith, community, and mission.
