A Former Communications Officer of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) – AAMUSTED, Emmanuel Suuk, has emphasized the crucial role TEIN plays in the party’s electoral success, particularly as the country approaches the 2028 elections. As the intellectual youth wing of the party, TEIN has consistently demonstrated its ability to mobilize, educate, and galvanize support among tertiary students and the broader youth demographic.
According to Suuk, TEIN’s impact on the party’s electoral fortunes is monumental.
“By engaging with students and young adults, TEIN has been instrumental in shaping the party’s policies and messages to resonate with the youth,” he stated.
Suuk noted that TEIN’s efforts have not only increased the party’s visibility on campuses but also fostered a sense of ownership and loyalty among young supporters.
To further empower TEIN, Suuk suggests that the party recognizes the value of investing in its intellectual youth wing. He proposes providing scholarships to TEIN members through the TEIN patrons, which would demonstrate the party’s commitment to its youth leaders.
“By investing in the education of its youth leaders, the party can strengthen its base, ensure continuity, and build a robust cadre of future leaders,” Suuk emphasized.
Suuk believes that this initiative would have several positive outcomes for the party, including enhancing its intellectual capacity and policy development, demonstrating its commitment to its youth members, and making the party more attractive to young, ambitious individuals.
As the party prepares for the 2028 elections, Suuk urges the party leadership to consider this proposal seriously and work towards implementing it.
“By providing scholarships to TEIN members, the party can strengthen its base, ensure its continued relevance among the youth, and build a strong foundation for future electoral success,” he concluded.
