The Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra is known to be a hub for scammers.
Thieves, who pose as traders, are either producing a knock version of almost anything genuine or making consumers pay for products they never get.
From luxury bags to whatever the fad is, they have it already “freshly” made.
A Twitter video shared by @Rvp_Clerk tells a story of totally made-up laptops. A young man is seen spraying old dusty second-hand computers with black paint.
These fake laptops mostly make their way to the Circle market.
