Amos Frimpong comfortable with new role

Asante Kotoko skipper Amos Frimpong says he has no problem playing at the center back instead of his usual full back role, adding ‘I’m happy playing at my new role.”

Recent injuries to Wahab Adams and Ganiyu Ismael and a poor form of Agyemang-Badu has forced C K Akonnor to use the captain in the center back role in the Normalization Committee Special Competition.

Speaking to the media after the clash with Bechem United, Amos Frimpong revealed that he is happy with the new role assigned to him by coach CK Akonnor and he is only focus on helping the team to win.

“I am happy to play at my new role assigned to me by the coach. You always have to be ready to play where ever the coach assigns you,” he said.

Kotoko are unbeaten in their last three games in the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
