In the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ghana, former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has advised the current president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on what to do to curb the spread of the disease in the country.
The former president called on the government to set up isolation centres in all regions in the country.
According to the former president who was speaking from his experience in the Ebola outbreak, it is very risky to transport victims across long distances to isolate them.
Speaking on a Facebook live transmission on Monday, he said
“Ghana must establish isolation centres in all regions of the country. A case identified in the regions must not be transported to Accra for treatment.”
