The Minister of Foreign affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey disclosed yesterday in parliament that three (3) Ghanaians had died of the Coronavirus infection in Europe.
My News Ghana can confirm that one of those victims is a staunch NPP man in Denmark.
The victim, Kwabena Maanu, is one of the Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Denmark.
Mr. Maanu is said to have passes away on Sunday, 15th March 2020.
According to Danish Media, he is a very much respected man in the music industry in Denmark and is regarded as one of the torchbearers of African music in Denmark.
Describing him the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Denmark said,
“They refer to him as the man who brought African rhythm to Denmark. He’s indeed a legend here and we are saddened by his passing. May the good Lord accept his soul.”
