Akufo Addo Announces Free Electricity For The Poor

The president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has announced free electricity for Ghanaians who use less than 10KW of energy in a month and a whopping 50% slash on the cost of electricity for Ghanaians whose consumption exceed the quota.

The president made this know in his Address Thursday evening monitored by Mynewsghana.net. The president extended the partial lockdown in parts of Accra and Kumasi by one more week. This he said was to enable health officials to trace and test contacts of various patients who have tested positive for the virus.

Global confirmed cases of coronavirus are around 1.5 million now. Total deaths worldwide are estimated to be 90,000. The Johns Hopkins University revealed this in its latest report on the global situation.

Ghana has so far recorded 373 Cases of coronavirus with the Greater Accra Region alone recording 256.

Deaths related to the virus remain Six.
