Relocate to Greece if you hate criticisms – Afia Pokuaa lashes politicians

Broadcast Journalist Afia Pokuaa affectionately called Vim Lady has taken a dig at politicians who do not want to be criticized asking them to leave the country and take the nationality of other countries.

Her comments come on the back of some members of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) insisting people do not have to moral right to criticize the President and his appointees when they go wrong with some of the decisions taken for the country.

Some persons have also said it’s too early to ask of accountability for funds paid into the COVID-19 Trust Fund and how monies are being used to help in the fight against the disease.

Afia Pokuaa who was speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com stated that so far as her tax and that of other well-meaning Ghanaians is being used to pay them, no appointee of government is above criticism.

She noted that people who are against criticism are the people who destroy countries and should not be entertained.

“We provide essential services to the country but you will be doing your work and when we talk you will come and insult us. After going through the stress of getting information across to the people, you are insulted by someone who is being paid with your tax.”

“When Mahama was in power, we saw the kind of questions you people asked him, even myself I also asked the tough questions but since Nana Addo came to power when you talk about him they release their virtual thugs on you. You people need to be tolerant, you have to be tolerant.”

“If you are a politician and you do not want to be criticized then please go and live at Savelugu or leave the country and go to Greece or go to America and naturalize there. If you agree to stay here as a politician and you’re been paid with my taxes, then I’m at liberty to criticize when things are not going on well.”
