COVID-19: Drones to transport samples for testing – Akufo-Addo

The government has begun the use of drones to transport samples taken for the novel coronavirus from distant locations to the various testing centres.

This is according to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

He disclosed this while delivering his seventh national address to update Ghanaians on the current steps taken in the fight against COVID-19.

“Government has also introduced the use of drones to expedite the transportation of samples to laboratory centres. On Friday 17th April for example, 51 samples were delivered from the Omenako drone distribution centre to Noguchi,” he said.
