I don’t know who Ras Kuuku is – Efya

Jane Awindor, one of Ghana’s biggest singers and songwriters, popularly known as Efya, has disclosed that she does not know of any musician who goes by the name Ras Kuuku.

She made this statement on Happy Fm’s Ayekoo After Drive with DJ Adviser after he read out a Facebook comment from one listener asking Efya when she will be putting out a song with the ‘Wo’ hitmaker, Ras Kuuku.

“I don’t know who Ras Kuuku is but on top of his naming, I’d like to find out who he is because the Ras and the Kuuku, there has to be a reason why those two things were put together to make a name”, she said.

Further answering if she will ever record a song featuring Lil Win, she replied that she is a big fan of Lil Win because he is funny, and of course, if there is a will, there is away. However, she pointed out that from that perspective, it would definitely depend on how fat the check is.

Efya confessed that she is very selective when it comes to people she does music with and basically, for her, there has to be a vibe.

She indicated that “There has to be a vibe. I have to listen to your stuff and it has to be an artist that I listen to your song and I’m like wow, this person is good. I want to do music with them. That’s it”.
