Akufo-Addo to address the nation tonight

President Akufo-Addo will be giving his twelfth address to the nation tonight concerning issues surrounding the spread and the fight against COVID-19 in the country.

The Miniter for Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah made this known in a tweet he shared just a few minutes ago.

According to the tweet, the President will be speaking on the opening of Senior High Schools (SHSs) tomorrow to allow for the final year students to go prepare for their final exams and also to allow the Form Twos of the Gold Track go wrap up what they were doing before the term was interrupted.

“Ahead of the re-opening of SHS for final year and Gold track students Prez @NAkufoAddo will later tonight update Ghanaians on the easing of restrictions and its impact,” he tweeted.

Currently, Ghana’s COVID-19 case count stands at a whopping 14,007 with 85 deaths and 10,473 recoveries. The number of active cases stands at 3,449.

President Akufo Addo in his 10th and 11th address to the nation eased some of the Coronavirus-induced restrictions and he will be looking forward to easing more restrictions tonight. The time for the address was not communicated by the minister.

Many Ghanaians will be looking forward to hearing the explanation from the president on the sudden high number of recoveries the country has recorded overnight.
