Police accuse politicians of causing violence at registration centres

The Ghana Police Service says the recent pockets of violence that have been recorded in the ongoing voter registration have been caused by politicians.

It observed the movement of politicians in groups to registration centres in the guise of familiarising themselves with the exercise or responding to calls by their representatives about illegal activities has been a major cause of these violence.

These were contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, July 22 by Director of Public Affairs SP Sheila Kessie Abayie-Buckman.
