VIDEO: Abroad has come to Ghana- Wontumi drops another ‘bomb

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako known popularly as Chairman Wontumi has said that his party has through its new manifesto brought “abroad to Ghana”.

According to him, the latest policies and programmes the government intends to introduce when given a second term to govern the country will transform the fortunes of the country.

He made this known when he spoke to GHOne TV in an interview on the sidelines of an event to held at the Cape Coast University to launch the party’s manifesto ahead of the impending election.

Chairman Wontumi said while touting the NPP government’s move to allow for easy access to student loans that “the country cannot develop without education. So if the President and NPP have made a manifesto that they are going to help the tertiary people for them to get loans. It means that Ghana is going to join the developed countries. He is saying you don’t need a guarantor, all you need is your national ID card. What perplexed me was that he said after your national service you have a one-year-long period before you start paying the loan. It means that Ghana we are moving as a country to a developed country”.

On government’s intention to support the youth with formal employment with loans to pay for their rent, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP noted that it’s a clear indication that the NPP government is bringing “abroad to Ghana”

“He also said that all the students or the workers who will get jobs they will also going to assist them to rent houses and stuff. A lot of people are suffering from money to rent an apartment. So if the government is helping you like this, I think abroad is coming to Ghana.”
