EC opens register for transfer of votes for District Level and Unit Committee elections

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced that it has opened the voters register for transfer of votes for candidates intending to contest in the upcoming District Assembly and Unit Committee elections in areas other than where they are originally registered to vote.

In a press release copied to www.ghanaweb.com, the Electoral Commission stated that the which was opened today Friday 23rd August, will be closed on Wednesday 28th August.

The release urged all aspiring candidates contesting in this years District Assembly and Unit Committee elections who want to transfer their votes to visit the Electoral Commission district offices for assistance.
