A letter from a student to his former headmaster seeking a refund of his fees paid while in school during erstwhile John Mahama administration has been sighted on social media.
This follows a claim by the ex-president and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the much-lauded free SHS policy was launched by him, seeking to aver that students who attended senior high school didn’t have to pay school fees or had their fees highly subsidized.
The student who goes by the name Nuamah John in his letter told the headmaster that he was in school from 2014 to 2016, same period Mr. Mahama claims to have covered their fees with his free SHS policy but was still asked to pay fees.
He therefore asked the headmaster to prepare a refund of all the fees he paid while in school as he’s coming ‘gididi’ for his fees.
“Dear Headmaster, I AM COMING FOR MY SCHOOL FEES FROM 2014-2016. Mr. John Mahama said that he paid for our fees during 2014-2016 meanwhile I paid school fees. Please I don’t want gidigidi biaa I am coming to the school on Monday for all my school fees. Thank you. This is John Nuamah” he wrote
It is unknown which senior high school John Nuamah attended.
