Special Voting Stars today, December 1

On Friday, December, the Electoral Commission is set to organize special voting for some selected persons and organizations across the country.

Today being December 1, Journalists, security officers, and officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) are voting in a Special Voting across the country today.

This preliminary voting is scheduled in order to enable these organizations and groups of persons to discharge their duties with all efficiency on December 7 when then the General election will be conducted.

Madam Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the electoral commission reveals that the exercise is going to have a 100% turnout. She said this at a press conference at the headquarters of the commission on Monday, November 30.

She said;

“As a Commission, we expect 100 percent turn out. We expect it to be peaceful, credible, and transparent,”

A total of 109,557 persons have been captured on the Special Voters List.

There were complaints of missing names of some of the security and media officers. But Madam Mensa has assured that there was no cause to worry.

She added by saying,

“The Commission has instructed its officers to allow media practitioners who have access to the accreditation to vote.”
