The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has in a statement today confirmed that provisional results of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have been released.
According to the statement, the West African Examination Council wishes to inform its publics that it has released provisional results of candidates who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for school candidates, 2020.
The West Africa Examination Council has cancelled the subject results of 417 candidates who sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for school candidates.
Their results have been cancelled for bringing foreign material into the examination hall and engaging in collusion.
Also, the entire results of 44 candidates have been cancelled for bringing mobile phones into the exam hall.
Additionally, the subject results of 977 candidates have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into various cases of alleged exam malpractice.
The withheld results of these candidates may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of the investigations
