Good news for all schools and teachers in Ghana

Ghana health service (GHS) was established in 1996. It is Ghanaian government body as part of the health sector reform. The Ghana health service is responsible for the comprehensive health service at all levels in Ghana. The GHS also establish effective mechanism for disease surveillance, prevention and control in Ghana.

Due to all of their responsibilities, Ghana Health Service(GHS) has try all that they can to prevent Ghanaians from contracting the deadly pandemic. The corona virus is eating Ghana’s up everyday. And the corona virus cases in Ghana keep on increasing everyday.

The central government has done his part to slow and curb the spread of the unexpected global corona virus pandemic. The virus has claimed many lives in Ghana. But there is good news for all Ghanaians including tertiary students, secondary school students and all levels of teachers.

According to the EPL of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Kwame Amponsah – Achiano, there is going to be about 20 million Ghanaians including students of Senior high school and tertiary institutions, and teachers of all levels will be vaccinated against the novel virus. This will commence from early March 2021.

Dr. Kwame Amponsah – Achiano also stated that, there are some people in the country who are going to receive some of the vaccine. And some of these people are security personnel, other essential service providers, persons above 60 years, specialised groups, the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary and MDA’s, the media and of course the rest of the population.

The EPL of Ghana Health Service added that, they are going to trained about 15,000 vaccinators that will be deployed to participate in the Nationwide corona virus vaccination exercise to slow the fast spreading of the locally transmitted virus in March this year.
