I’ve no rift with Mahama – Anyidoho

The former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has dispelled suggestions that he has a rift with the former flagbearer of the party.

Mr Anyidoho’s comment comes after some members of the NDC expressed worry over some tweets from the former deputy secretary-general on his Twitter page last week.

He lauded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for always paying compliments to his boss, President Akufo-Addo, and in what was interpreted to be a sly dig to former President Mahama who was the Vice President to the late President Atta Mills, Mr. Anyidoho stated that he never saw such humbleness and compliments paid to the late president.

But Mr Anyidoho who is also the CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, in an interview with Starr Chat told host Nana Aba Anamoah that claims that he hates the former President have been misconstrued.

“There’s no rift between myself and John Mahama,” Mr Anyidoho said, adding “the tweet I made on March 4 about Veep Bawumia showing respect to his boss wasn’t an insinuation against anybody.”

He also revealed that he is yet to receive a suspension letter from the party.

According to him, reports of his suspension have only been circulating in the media adding that he is unaware of any suspension from the NDC.

“I’m not leaving the NDC no matter what happens. I’m still a bonafide memberI haven’t received any letter from my party concerning my suspension. I haven’t seen it anywhere. I’m still a bonafide member of the party,” the CEO of the Atta Mills Institute said.
