The University of Ghana Council has appointed Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo has been appointed to act as the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo’s acting tenure will begin on August 1, 2021.
She is expected to act as the Vice-Chancellor until the time that the University Council will announce a substantive Vice Chancellor for the school.
Nana Aba Appiah Amfo takes over from Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu whose tenure as Vice-Chancellor comes to an end and becomes the first female Vice-Chancellor although in an acting position.
Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo has occupied several roles in the University Community including working as the housemistress for the Mensah Sarbah Hall and a Lecturer at the Linguistics Department of the University of Ghana.
Also, she is currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic and Students Affairs.
