Student reportedly dies after complaining about delay in payment of allowance

A student of the Saint Louis College of Education is reported dead after complaining bitterly about the delay in payments of student allowance.

According to some WhatsApp chats available to GhanaCelebrities.com, the student whose name is yet to be known was arguing and complaining about how school authorities have withheld their allowance for their personal gain.

Sources say she died shortly after a heated argument on WhatsApp about the delay in payment of their allowance.

She also complained about how school authorities allegedly charged them fees before allowing them to stay on campus for 3 days to write their examination.

Prior to this development, the Coalition of Trainee Teachers has described the government’s inability to pay outstanding allowances as unfair treatment, a breach of promise and an insult.

They also alleged that, although the government has failed to pay them, officials have sought to deceive the public that allowances are being paid to them.
