A 23-Year Suspected Motorbike thief Beaten to a pulp

A 23-year-old suspected motorbike thief has been beaten to a pulp at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East of the Central Region for stealing a motorbike.

The incident happened today around 12PM.

According to the owner of the motorbike, Yaw Frimpong, an Okada rider, the thieve named, Sampson Dogbe snatched the motorbike from him last year, 2020, during pandemic COVID-19 lockdown after he had dropped a customer at his destination.

He, Yaw Frimpong however, lodged a complaint to the Awutu Beraku District Police Command for the arrest of the suspected motorbike thieve, but he (thieve) runaway from Fetteh Kakraba to prevent the police arrest.

Yaw Frimpong explained further that since then he together with the police has been searching everywhere for the arrest of the thief.

Fortunately, this morning, March 18, 2021, a resident called and informed him that the thieve had arrived in the community.

He then called on his friends, where they arrested the motorbike snatcher, beat him mercilessly, and handed him over to the Awutu Beraku District Police Command.

The suspect is in police custody assisting in the investigation. But the Awutu Beraku District Police Commander, Supt Joshua Semanyoh has assured that the suspect will be arranged before the court as soon as possible.

The District Police Commander has also advised the youth to abstain from instant justice.
