A/R Secretariat of Ahlus Sunnah Wal  Jama’ donates food items to the less privileged in Kumasi

The regional Imam of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’, Sheikh Dr. Ismail Saeed Adam donated food items to the less privileged in the Ashanti region, over the current Lockdown that affected both greater Accra and the greater Kumasi regions.

He made this donation on Tuesday morning at the Sakafia Islamic Educational Complex located at Sawaba,  within the Asokore Mampong municipality of the Ashanti region; the most populous Municipality within the region.

In his presentation of the food items and beverage supports, he admonished each and every Ghanaian who has the ability to help others in these times of crisis of COVID-19 lockdown in Ghana and everywhere around the globe, should endeavor to do so; a Godly decision that Islam teaches us.

He again as a matter of urgency, urged all Imams to try and reach out in support to the less privileged; a call he remarks can be done, by contacting those who are well to do or wealthier enough to help the needy as the fall-outs of the COVID-19 lock-down has really impacted many within the affected regions, in the country.

Imam admonished every Ghanaian to be law abiding and adhere to the Preventive protocols, outlined by the health professionals in containing the spread of the COVID-19.

He lamented that, people should not joke with the directives given by the government; emphasizing that everybody should religiously wash their hands, continue to make use of hand sanitizers as they ensure social Distancing at all levels and times.

This he said, is part of the teachings of Islam and the guidance given to mankind by the Noble Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings of Allah be Upon him).

He concluded that, we should all continue praying and continuously seek for the Almighty Allah’s intervention;  a sincere repentance from our sins would be met with His mercy, and the world shall regain peace, happiness and normalcy.

“Let us all continue to donate in helping the needy as we put smiles and hopes in their lives, the Almighty Allah would reward us abundantly and make things easy for us all”, Imam finally admonished.
