Adom Cocoa Buying Company Limited, a leading player in the cocoa industry, has declared its full support for the government’s ambitious tree planting initiative. This announcement marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.

In an interview with DaakyeheneKojoBuabeng, the managing director of Adom Cocoa Buying Company Limited Mr Patrick Owusu expressed the company’s dedication to participating in this environmental effort. “We are proud to support the government’s tree planting initiative. This program aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship,” said Mr Patrick Owusu Managing Director of Adom Cocoa Buying Company Limited. “By participating in this initiative, we aim to enhance the ecological balance, improve soil health, and ensure a sustainable future for cocoa production.”

 

Mr Patrick Owusu added that the local government should also implement a monitoring system to track the health and status of newly planted trees. This system will involve regular inspections and community reporting mechanisms to ensure compliance. Additionally, educational programs should be rolled out to inform the public about the importance of tree conservation and the new legal repercussions of illegal tree cutting.

He finally added that the government should rollout policy so that the farmer planting the tree will also benefit from the tree.
