Akufo-Addo absorbs WASSCE fees for all final year students

 

 

The fees for all final year students across Ghana have been taken care of by the Government.

This new development was made available on the official page of NET 2 TV.

Net 2 reports that President Akufo- Addo says the for the first time in history, his government has taken over the full payment of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for all final year students due to write the WASSE and in addition has made adequate provision for teachers and students from health, learning, and teaching materials to ensure that the work is made a bit easy for them.

School activities came to a halt due to the widespread of Coronavirus.

The halt on school activities also made it impossible for High school students to write their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

However, the Government after evaluating the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 has announced that all final year students can now return to school.

High schools across the nation would be resuming on 22 June, 2020.

All university final year students have already resumed on the 15 June, 2020 and Junior High Schools will resume on 29th June.
