Akufo-Addo swears in Anin Yeboah as new CJ today

President Akufo-Addo is expected to swear in the new Chief Justice, Anin Yeboah at a short ceremony at the Jubilee House today.

Justice Anin Yeboah was approved by Parliament following his successful vetting in December last year.

He was vetted by the Appointment Committee of the House composed of both sides.

Justice Anin Yeboah is the first male Chief Justice of the land to be appointed in 12 years.

He took over from Justice Sophia Akuffo who’s currently on retirement. Justice Anin Yeboah has become Ghana’s 26th Chief Justice since 1876.
