Abdul-Kabeer Abubakar, a student of the Al-Azhariya Islamic School at Tafo in the Tafo Municipality of Ashanti Region has won the Car, the highest prize in the Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition 2023 held in Kumasi, the capital city of Ashanti.
Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition 2023 is the greatest Qur’an Recitation Competition in Ghana which took place in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region with the highest price of a car for the winning school.
Speaking to the media after the competition, Abdul-Kabeer Abubakar who won the first position in the Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition 2023 said his victory didn’t come as a surprise but through hard work and the help of Allah.
He thanked the organizers of the program for organizing such an educative and motivational program Islamic Students and also encouraged his colleague students to learn hard to enable them to seize similar opportunities that may come their way.
Ali Suraj, a young politician and a Muslim Brother who is the organizer and the main sponsor of the Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition 2023 said the event was organized for Islamic schools with the main purpose of rebuilding the habit of Qur’an recitation and building good leaders for future generations.
According to him, this was the maiden edition of the Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition 2023 which brings together all those with beautiful and touching voices in the Qur’an Recitation either in full, half, or special basis knowledge of the Qur’an recitation from selected schools in the region, which aims to honor the most beautiful voices and highest in-depth knowledge in Qur’an Recitation and Athan raising.
All to know about the 2023 Competition
Giving the inside of the Musabaqah Al-Quran Recitation Competition, Malam Mohammed Mahmoud Balah, Chairman of the Event said the Quran Recitation And Call To Prayer Competition, the program seeks to provide a rich Islamic experience to the world by highlighting the diversity of the cultures of the Islamic world, which is reflected in the style and manner of reciting the Holy Qur’an and raising the Athan, It also aims to encourage young people of the Islamic world to turn to the Qur’an recitation and to raise the Athan in its various styles, and to provide societies with the sweetest and humblest recitations, and to introduce the world to the moderation and tolerance of Islam by highlighting its aesthetics and richness that renounces extremism and fanaticism in all its forms.
The winning prize will be handed over to the winner on Friday 29th December 2023, by the vice president of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Dr. Mahmood Bawumia.
