The Books & Boots Foundation is organizing another special Christmas treat for over 100 children this festive season.
Organisers of the Special Christmas with the Children have also confirmed that Santa Clause will be coming to town with Christmas presents to share amongst the kids.
Supported by Active Minds Reading Club, One Ghana and WaterArms over FireArms, the chosen venue for this year’s event is the small Akuapem town of Apirede in the Eastern region of Ghana.
A number of social groups, whatsapp platforms, media personalities and sports fans including Mighty Reds Ghana (Liverpool fans) are also expected to make the short journey from Aburi up the hills to Apirede.
A coordinator of the Children’s Christmas party and resident of Apirede George Darko told the hub that this year’s event will be the biggest as children will be coming from nearby villages to Apirede.
“There would also be reading sessions, face painting, dancing competition and a mini soccer gala”.
For the third year in a row, major donor Mr Jerry Teeler from Texas, USA will be in town to treat the kids to an unforgettable day as Father Christmas.
