Amoako Baah Confirms Unprecedented Nepotism By Akufo Addo

The long held fact that Akufo-Addo is running the most nepotistic government so far in Ghana’s political history has been confirmed by one of the top gurus of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Richard Amoako Baah who is also a political scientist and a founding member of the NPP.

In an interview on Power FM monitored by GhanaPoliticsonline.com recently concerning the raging controversial Agyapa Royalties Ltd deal being forced on Ghanaians by the Akufo-Addo family and friends government, Dr. Amoako Baah fumed that the Agyapa deal would have been a good arrangement for the country but the problem that bastardized the noble deal is how it was set up to be managed by the few family and friends of the president who were selected in darkness.

He questioned why the corporate entity that is supposed to be a public enterprise should be registered in a tax haven outside the sovereign boundaries of Ghana. Again he queried why the deal will preclude any sovereign institution in Ghana from investigating anything about the transactions of the company; the clause preventing the board of directors from being known to the public and how Parliament was not even given the chance to know such details.

Investigations into the obnoxious Agyapa Minerals royalties deal reveal that, just like the Power Distribution Services (PDS) Concessionaire Agreement, very powerful crooks in and out of government have connived to rip the country off through the deal. Osarfo Marfo and his son, Kofi Osarfo Marfo, Gabby Otchere Darko and the president’s cousin Ken Ofori-Atta have been unmasked as the kingpins involved in the scam being visited on the country. Osarfo Marfo’s son Kofi, who is already the Deputy Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is said to be the Chief Executive Officer of Agyapa.

Gabby Otchere Darko’s failed attempt to hide himself from the dirty deal exposed his underground propping of the enterprise. He has virtually become the spokesperson of the deal. It has also been suggested in some circles that the name Asaase was changed to Agyapa so as to fool the public not to discover it belongs to Otchere Darko’s Asaase brand of companies. It is the same mafia syndicate that fooled the whole country to accept PDS and later looted our monies and allegedly caused financial loss to the country’s energy sector to tune of almost $200million.

For a member of the nepotism cabal, Gloria Akuffo, who is the country’s Attorney General to describe the Agyapa deal as UNCONSCIONABLE speaks volumes of the deadly intent of the kleptomaniacs pushing this deal on the country. Akufo-Addo’s motive is clearly to milk the country dry for his immediate Akyem mafia to enrich themselves and use the ill-gotten riches to manipulate the masses. They are so corrupt that they are never ashamed of cooking up this kinds of cockroach deals in the full glare of innocent Ghanaians. It appears Ghanaians are being punished for not being vigilant enough to keep these nepotistic individuals away from managing the country’s resources.
