Ashanti Regional Minister,KMA Boss Stripped Pantless for Blacklisting Calls of Kumasi Traders

Dealers in the importation of Togo-made clothing are boiling with rage against Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simeon Osei Mensah, KMA Boss Hon Osei Assibey, Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator and Regional CEPS Commissioner.

They have raised venomous charges that the above mentioned office holders have deliberately blacklisted their (dealers) cell phone contacts and that all attempted phone calls whenever they try reaching them do not go through.

They claimed that on the 8th February 2018, they (dealers) had an official meeting with the authorities to seek their intervention vis-a-vis brutalities and extortions they face at the hands of security personnel at the various check points stretching from Aflao to Ashanti region.

The briefed that whenever transporting clothing from Togo to Kumasi, some security officials assigned to duty brutalise and extort monies from them on several occasions.

They continued that as a way of salvaging them from the nightmare in question, they planned tapping the assistance of the political figures in question.

According to a press statement read by the Chairman for Kumasi Central Market Importers Association Mr. Yaw Banahene, a meeting was fixed between them (executives of the association) and the named government officials where they made an official complain.

The chairman underlined that during the meeting executives who were then present submitted their cell phone contacts to them.

He fingered bitterly that after their engagement with the government officials, all attempts made by them to reach either Ashanti Regional Minister, KMA Boss, CEPS commissioner , Ashanti regional security coordinator via phone calls have proved fiasco.

In a press statement, he disclosed that all calls they make with the phone numbers they provided the government officials during the meeting doesn’t go through.

“They have intentionally blacklisted our contacts” a mournful looking trader exposed.

Chairman for the association shockingly brought to bare that ” …when we use unknown numbers to call them they cut the calls halfway and followup calls go unanswered if they realise that the calls are coming from us”.

“The sad aspect of the whole thing is that after our visit to these officers and personalities, they have cut ties with us” he added.

He continued that the government officials have flashed down the lavatory their complain since they have hitherto failed to address their challenge.
